Communities of Care Writing Workshop with El Jones

Writing to invite you all to promote our Communities of Care Writing Workshop with El Jones as widely as you can within your networks. African Nova Scotian and Mi’kmaq clients or service providers may be interested in attending this ongoing workshop.

This workshop is a formative experience encouraging self expression, open to all women we work with currently, as we are building trust and gain enough awareness and momentum to increase participation from African Nova Scotian and Indigenous women. Communities of Care programming prioritizes engagement with local Black and Indigenous women, in response to the lack of consistent public space available to speak to the experiences and many intersections of oppression these women face, compounded with the criminalization they face in their day to day lives within the legal system and their communities. In the New year we aim to host some closed space workshops, once more people know about our program.

We hope to see you all on Monday, and would so appreciate if you could print and post this poster as well as share it with your networks to encourage African Nova Scotian and Mi’kmaq clients to join us.

This event runs every other Monday, at the Efry Society. Please contact for details.
